Our editorial process

1. Source — We gather clinic profiles, reviews, and ratings from Korean-language platforms (Naver, GangnamUnni, BabiTalk, Sungyesa) and international platforms (RealSelf, Google Maps, PurseBlog, BeautyHacker).
2. Verify — We cross-check credentials via Korean public registries (KHISS for clinic licensure, national society rosters for board certification) and confirm clinic details directly where possible.
3. Review — Every procedure, clinic, and guide page is reviewed by practising specialists from our advisory councils (listed below) before publication. The reviewer's specialty is matched to the content: plastic surgeons for surgical procedures, dermatologists and aesthetic physicians for non-surgical, maxillofacial surgeons for orthognathic work, and so on.
4. Publish — Each page records its last reviewed date in the byline under the headline. Material updates trigger a new review.
5. Correct — We respond to correction requests on a 3-business-day SLA. Send detail and sources to the contact address; substantive changes update the last-reviewed date.

Editorial content covering medical and surgical topics is reviewed by practising specialists before publication. The advisory pool draws from board-certified physicians and licensed practitioners across the disciplines represented below. Individual council members are not named publicly to protect ongoing clinical relationships; review attribution is surfaced at the council level in each page's byline.

Where our data comes from

Clinic profiles and ratings are compiled from publicly available data on platforms including GangnamUnni, BabiTalk, Sungyesa, Naver Place, Google Maps, and RealSelf. Patient-report summaries used in procedure articles are quoted from those sources and link back to the original review. Clinical recommendations and risk rates cite peer-reviewed literature or position statements from the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (KAPS), the Korean Dermatological Society, or international equivalents (ASPS, ASDS, ISHRS).

Clinic licensure can be independently verified through the Korean KHISS database.

How we're funded

Gangnam Beauty Guide is independently published. It accepts no paid placements, no sponsored rankings, and no affiliate commissions from clinics. No clinic, hospital, or medical-tourism agency owns editorial input on rankings, reviews, or content selection. Where a data source is disclosed (e.g. a specific review platform), that source is named in the relevant page.
