The consultant and surgeon was both friendly. The surgeon was not pushy about the procedures needed and was transparent in what procedures is required. The consultant was also extremely friendly and walked my through the procedure.

My main concern was that I was using my eyebrows to open my eyes and express myself, which I felt was causing headaches and would lead to forehead wrinkles down the line.
• How was it before getting treated?
My consultation and procedure were pushed back 2 hours on the day of, but I was notified via KakaoTalk ahead of time. Dr. Suh was thorough and transparent throughout the consultation, walking me through incisional vs. non-incisional options and recommending non-incisional for a more natural, lower crease result. He also suggested a medial epicanthoplasty given that my eyes are set further apart, and there was no pressure toward any procedure. The surgery itself took about an hour. I could feel sutures being placed toward the end as the sedation wore off, but there was no pain, similar to a dental filling. Recovery was manageable: the first evening was the most painful, days 2–3 had the worst swelling, and bruising fully resolved over about 2 weeks. Suture removal at the 1-week mark was briefly uncomfortable but quick. I was in Japan shortly after with no issues and held off on makeup until week 4 to let the inner corners heal fully.

I’m extremely pleased with the results, exactly the natural look I was going for, and I love the addition of the epicanthoplasty. Even though I was fairly vague in describing what I wanted, Dr. Suh designed my eyes exactly how I’d envisioned. I would definitely recommend both him and Marble clinic.

I felt like my eyes were small and looked sleepy so I wanted to get this corrected to have a brighter more awake look with bigger eyes. Originally, I thought a lateral canthoplasty would be the solution, but after doing multiple consultations I decided to do DES and ptosi correction too.
• How was it before getting treated?
The staff had excellent english speaking skills, they were really patient and answered all my questions. I appreciated how Dr. Suh worked really hard to make sure they were symmetrial and even did a quick revison after I got my stitches out the first week.
• Results
I like how bright and open my eyes look! I do feel like my eyelids are still a little swollen after 3 months, so I cant wait to see the final result.

I chose Marble Plastic Surgery and Dr Suh because of the service and it really felt like they were going to take care of me, make sure I had the right expectations, and that I would be happy with the result. He was the only consultation I had who didn’t want to put me under and throughout the procedure was making sure it was symmetrical.
